“I heard about other nonprofits taking donations of vehicles, and my wife had been bugging me for a couple of years to sell or donate my old VW Jetta wagon that I was mainly using for sporadic runs to CHaRM and to haul mulch. Most of the time it was just taking up space in our driveway and collecting pollen. I asked Nuçi's Space if I could donate this old gem to them. They connected [me] with CARS (who also works with GPB and several other local nonprofits), who handles everything. I called CARS and gave them all of my info (VIN #, address where the car was, etc.) and they scheduled a date for the tow truck to come pick it up. The guys driving the tow truck took the title with them, gave me a receipt, and several months later I received a tax deduction sheet once my old car was sold at auction. Nuçi's Space received 70% of the proceeds of the sale (less the towing and admin expenses.) And my wife was really happy! It was that easy!!! Give your old vehicle, boat, RV, etc. to Nuçi's Space. It's a great way to clear some clutter in your life and help out one of the places that makes Athens such a wonderful community.”

Today's spotlight is on vehicle donations and estate gifts, two unique ways to make a lasting impact on the future of mental health care for musicians.
Donate Your Vehicle (or More!)
Through the nonprofit CARS, you can donate cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, boats, and in some cases even other specialty vehicles to Nuçi's Space. The process is simple, your pickup is free, and your generous donation helps fund affordable mental health care, suicide prevention training, and support for musicians in our community.
Donating your vehicle can also:
Save you the time and hassle of selling it yourself.
Eliminate ongoing expenses like insurance, registration, maintenance, or storage.
Potentially provide you with a tax deduction if you itemize your taxes.
Turn something you no longer need into life-changing support for someone who does.
If you'd like to donate a specialty vehicle or unique property, CARS can often help with those donations as well. Because every donation is different, these items may require additional review to ensure they generate the greatest possible support for Nuçi's Space.
