For Day 9 of our 12 Days of Giving, we’re spotlighting a powerful tool that turns small actions into big change: crowdfunding.
When a community comes together—each person giving what they can—it creates lasting support for causes that matter. Here are three types of crowdfunding and how each one fuels our mission at Nuçi’s Space:
💸 Donation-Based Crowdfunding The most straightforward model—people give because they care. Often used for mutual aid and community needs. • Online platforms: Givebutter, Facebook Fundraisers • In person: Donation jars at venues or events
🎁 Rewards-Based Crowdfunding Donors receive a small gift or experience in return. This works especially well for artists and small businesses. • Online platforms:Kickstarter, Indiegogo • In person: Exclusive merch or handmade items offered in exchange for support
🏠 Commission-Based Crowdfunding In this model, charitable giving is tied to a business transaction. One example is GiveBack Realty, led by Reign Streiter, which donates 10% of every real estate commission to nonprofits like Nuçi’s Space.
Whether you donate $5, launch a fundraiser, or choose to work with a mission-driven business, you’re helping us provide critical support to musicians and creatives in need.
